When you use the search, Fit Finder, or barcode scanner on this site, we log the search parameters (brand, size, weight) and the count of results returned. We do not log:
- Your IP address tied to specific searches
- An identifier that connects searches across sessions
- The specific products you clicked on
We use aggregate search data (e.g., “size 3 diapers were searched 1,200 times this week”) to identify gaps in our product database and prioritize updates.
Affiliate links
When you click a link to a retailer like Amazon, Walmart, or Target, you are leaving DiaperFitFinder and entering that retailer’s site. The retailer typically sets a tracking cookie that identifies you as having arrived via DiaperFitFinder. If you make a purchase within a specific window (typically 24 hours to 30 days, depending on the retailer), we earn an affiliate commission.
We never see your purchase details — only an aggregate report of how many sales originated from our links and the total commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had visited the retailer directly.
Server logs
Like all websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs that include IP addresses, timestamps, and pages requested. These logs are kept for security and debugging purposes and are typically deleted after 30-90 days. They are not connected to any other data we hold about you.
What we don’t collect
- We don’t have user accounts, so we don’t have account data.
- We don’t ask for or store payment information.
- We don’t ask for or store email addresses unless you explicitly contact us via our contact form.
