DiaperFitFinder gives you three ways to find the right diaper. Pick whichever matches what you already know:
1. You know the brand and size — find the best price
If you’ve already settled on Pampers Swaddlers in size 3 (or any specific brand and size), use the Search tab on the homepage. Pick the brand from the dropdown, then the product line, then the size. We’ll pull live prices from every major retailer that carries it and show you the cheapest price-per-diaper.
This is the fastest path when you’re restocking a brand that already works for your baby.
2. You know your baby’s weight — find what fits
Babies don’t grow on a schedule, and brands don’t agree on weight ranges. A 14-pound baby is a size 2 in Pampers Pure, but borderline size 2/3 in Honest Diapers. A 28-pound toddler might still fit Huggies Little Movers size 5 or be ready to size up to 6 — depending on the brand.
The Fit Finder tab solves this. Enter your child’s weight in pounds, optionally filter by gender or category (overnight, training, swim), and we show you every diaper currently made that fits that weight. Sorted by manufacturer-recommended fit first, then by price. You can compare across brands you’d never thought to consider.
This is the path for new parents, parents transitioning between sizes, or anyone curious whether a different brand might fit better.
3. You have the package in front of you — scan the barcode
The Scan tab uses your phone or laptop’s camera to read the UPC barcode on a diaper package. Point your camera at the barcode for a second, and we’ll look up the product, show you all current prices, and tell you whether there’s a cheaper alternative that fits the same weight range.
This is useful in the diaper aisle — you can scan what’s on the shelf, see if it’s the best deal, and make the call without doing math in your head.
Where the data comes from
Product database: We maintain a curated catalog of 425+ diaper variants across every major brand and store brand. Each entry records the manufacturer’s published weight range, available sizes, and any gender or category specialization. We update the catalog as brands launch, change formulations, or discontinue products.
Live prices: When you search, we query major retailers in real time — Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale, and others. Prices reflect what each retailer is charging at the moment you search. Note that wholesale clubs like Costco may show member-only pricing.
Fit ranges: Weight ranges come directly from each manufacturer’s packaging. We do not invent or interpolate. If Pampers Cruisers size 4 is officially “22-37 lb,” that’s what we use. We mark “open-ended” the largest size in each line — these have no upper weight bound and continue to fit until your child is ready to size up to a different category (e.g., training pants).
What we don’t do
- We don’t recommend the cheapest diaper as the best diaper. We surface prices so you can decide. Cheapest by price-per-diaper is often a Walmart store brand, but you may prefer Coterie despite the higher cost. We don’t push you toward affiliate-friendly options.
- We don’t claim a perfect fit. Babies’ shapes vary even at the same weight. Two babies who both weigh 18 pounds may need different sizes from different brands. Use the Fit Finder as a shortlist, not a guarantee.
- We don’t replace your pediatrician. If you’re seeing rashes, leaks despite a “correct” size, or any unusual skin reaction — that’s a conversation for your child’s doctor, not a software comparison tool.
